BrazSonic 2 Cancelled, Uncancelled in Quick Succession

For all its progress and evolution in recent years, there is one thing the Sonic fan game community sorely lacks–an abundance of finished games.  The hopes of another one seeing completion were almost dashed yesterday–then almost instantly renewed–all under strange circumstances.

You may remember last month when we told you about BrazSonic 2 and its hopes for a SAGE showing. For a brief moment yesterday, the project had been canned.  SFGHQ senior member Godmaster had apparently cited problems not with the game, but with putting together the official series website:

After many years of useless working and a fail to implement the wordpress in the brazilian official site [....], I decided to cancel the project.

I didn’t got [sic] so many helpers and this project couldn’t have future.

One hour and fifty-one minutes later, Godmaster figured out the problem with WordPress, and uncancelled BrazSonic 2, one of the quickest reversals of fortune seen in some time:

Well… forget about the cancelling… I thought a little more and I got to solve the wordpress problem! So I will continue with BrazSonic, and now without worrying about whatever people use to say or complain.

We have the official website for the game, in Portuguese, linked above.  The loss of BrazSonic would have been yet another loss for this year’s SAGE, which thus far will have to overcome the loss or cancellation of two titles, as we have documented in recent weeks.  TSSZ News will continue to bring you the highs and lows on the road to this year’s expo.
