A Speed Run that Defies Explanation
When most first set foot in Eggmanland for the next-generation version of Sonic Unleashed, luck was on their side if the arduous level was finished in under an hour. It was by far the toughest test of players in the game, and many who set foot in Eggmanland had little desire to return.
Many, but not all.
That’s best evidenced by the continuing push by some to speed run the level, and post the results on Youtube. A new mark has been set in the area, albeit some fudging was needed to get the 7 minute, 37 second ranking. You’ll see some of that in the video below, which has been circulating in the community for about a week now.
Produced by corneliab, though some consider the speed run cheating, the S rank at the end still seems well deserved.

Probably a cheat, still, that’s beyond cool!
Eggmanland on the 360 was it took me all night to pass it but I got an A & my time was 87:32:43 man I was happy as hell to finally pass that level

There weren’t any “cheats” in the speed run though a few exploits are used.

What the hell… There is no floor on most of the level.
very coool, but in my opinion that doesn’t give me energy (pica) that doesn’t pulls me up, playing like that, and why in this vid why can’t we see the floor? :S kind of strange isn’t it, but still cool

If you use the shortcuts properly you can finish this stage without actual cheating or glicthes in less than 25 minutes.
