4Kids gives us a Sonic X subtitle preview

Andrew Paulson | July 9, 2009

4Kids gives us a taste of what most Sonic X fans have been wanting for awhile…

4Kids has taken a lot of blame in the Sonic community for their work on Sonic X, but it looks like they’re trying to make up for it. What many Sonic fans have wanted for a long time is to watch the original Japanese episodes of Sonic X, but with subtitles and original music. 4Kids is giving us a preview of  a subtitled version of the episode Enter the Supersonic Hero.

4Kids mentions that this is a work-in-progress and that they would like to do more, so head over to their YouTube page to send them your comments. For those who live outside of the US, check out this viewable version of the YouTube video.

    Woah, this was unexpected…

I hope they think about having these subtitled and on dvd as well, i always wanted to buy the Japanese eps on dvd…but importing the originals is so expensive (around 20 bucks for 1 dvd, each).

They can’t handwave away licencing and copyright issues between different parts of the world, before everyone here starts going into a blind rage at 4kids.

@ TailstheHedgehog & phillip, ur both right, those four shorts based on sonic unleashed just wasnt enough, im hoping sega animation studios [cant remember the exact name] decides go ahead and make a full on series. cw 4 kids, or cartoon network would gladly take it.
