New Demo Also Available of Amy themed SFG
In more recent SAGE showings, the main protagonists have expanded well beyond just Sonic. With so many characters now a part of the Sonic universe, the expansion is starting to trickle down some in fan games, with more variety each year.
Rose of Longevity, an Amy Rose themed SFG produced by DarkJedi188, is just one of many games at this year’s expo that deviates from the traditional Sonic formula. Its storyline follows:
Amy Rose has given up and sunk into a state of gloomy isolation after numerous occasions of being turned down for a date by the likes of Sonic & Shadow. She began to worry about becoming an old ugly woman and diying without ever having a husband by her side. She feared that Sonic would marry Blaze, and that Shadow would marry Rouge. And she cried about this constantly. Then one night while she was sleeping all alone in her pink little bed, she saw a weird dream…
In that dream she was approached by some creepy genie who told her that the key to retaining her youthful physical appearance for all eternity lies within an enchanted flower known as the Rose Of Longevity.
The genie explained that this enchanted flower was so rare that it blossomed only once in every 25 years. And he also mentioned that the most recently blossomed specimen of this rose has been acquired by the troops of Doctor Eggman and taken deep down into one of the evil genius’ subterranean bunkers.
(Apparently Eggman has learned that the power of this enchanted flower can recharge the energy cells of his most valuable heavy-duty machinery. Thus, it would improve his resource management and save him tons of money.)
After providing Amy with the directions to find that subterranean bunker, the genie vanished.
And so, Amy awoke from her dream with a new boost of confidence and a determined grin on her face.
She took a shower, got dressed, ate her breakfast, picked up her trustworthy PicoPico hammer, and sprinted as quickly as possible in the direction that the genie gave her.
The final product promises unlimited player lives right out of the game–whether that’s a reflection of the SFG’s difficulty remains to be seen. Screenshots and a new working demo of Rose of Longevity are available now. Go to SAGE, click on “Booths” and find the Rose of Longevity button. We have below a three minute demo of the game for your consideration.

Ugh, this game and its story looks and sounds awful.
And since when was Amy interested in Shadow?
Kits’Okami: I don’t know.
Well, i guess it’s just fun that someone tries something new. Or make a more original story. But for me this game looks kinda unfinished. Let’s see how the final version will be.
What the…?
