Official Character Art for Silver, Bowser Jr. Inside
A slew of screenshots for Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games has been released today for Gamescom, and much of what’s shown includes a Sonic fan favorite.
On the Wii side, Radical Highway from Sonic Adventure 2 will be a part of the Dream Snowboarding stages, if the shots below have anything to say about it. You’ll also be able to see the first look at Bowser Jr. and Silver officially in action, as they take on not just the Radical Highway, but Dream Alpine Skiing and the Halfpipe.
For the DS, several shots again show Silver and Bowser Jr. in action, and they span Ski Cross Racing, Figure Skating, and what appears to be a very interesting and new mode, Fever Hockey. Figure Skating appears to utilize the DS stylus to perform moves when prompted.
We also have the official character artwork for Silver and Bowser Jr.

Yeah, seeing DK in Radical Highway is very weird looking, I agree.
The Dream “Alpine Skiing” Sonic stage is actually Ocean Palace. Unlike Mario Circuit, though, these don’t appear to be exact remakes of the original stage. In fact, they’re heavily remodeled with better textures and completely different paths, but the stages themselves are based on the original stages.

And I guess Silver looks good in the screens. Still don’t quite think he was an appropriate selection, but whatever.
Whoa, is this the one that got C&Ded? I remember putting that comment BEFORE the screens got taken down!
Is it just me or is Yoshi’s nose getting bigger and bigger for every game he is in. I mean c’mon! Nowadays he just look stupid with that baloon on his face!
But well, I’m not so intrested in screenshots. Just gameplay, but I don’t really care. I’m just going to buy that game.
Silver’s board is badass. Nice find; I didn’t see that one before. Still hoping for a few more characters… Rouge and Omega would be the perfect fit for additional Sonic All-Around and Power slots, respectively, while Diddy and Rosalina (or Birdo) could take the Speed and Skill slots for Mario.
Why is Yoshi’s nose so huge o_O he is even bigger than Silver…
@Osnic: I completely agree… yoshi looks really mishapen these days.
Wait… is it just me or does Silver look happy in the screenshots and video? Sonic ’06 was so dark that he was never shown to be happy before. I hope that if Sega decide to keep using him they will show him as a more positive character!
Bowser Jr. is also quite a good character, so it is good to see him!
I don’t think I will be getting this game unless it gets great reviews though. I feel cheated having bought the original on the Wii.
I can’t see that Yoshi’s noes grows after every game… But it look’s strange when he and Silver does high five! Little Yoshi is so BIG!
But this is great. Now I got a new wallpaper! But it’s pretty boring with just pictures all the time…
Anyone think this is the full roster ? I`m still hoping Jet , Rouge , Diddy & Rosalina make it espcially Rosalina & Rouge we need more girls playable in this it`s a total wiener fest

Awesome!!! Silver’s in it!!! One of my favourite characters. Here’s hoping the gamplay’s better than it’s predecessor though.

YES, SILVER!. He is freaking awesome. I’m also really happy to see him Smiling in those pics too (The only other time i’ve seen him smiling is in Sonic The hedgehog Comic #195…I think it’s that one). Silver FTW!
