Alex Kidd and Beat Also Spotted in Video Inside
Gamescom has begun, and so has the media blitz for many of Sega’s titles.
With the Billy Hatcher track previously shown in E3 demos of Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, the first new character confirmed at Gamescom isn’t a big surprise. Billy Hatcher himself will be making an appearance. But the big story out of this new trailer is that Knuckles is the Sonic character newly confirmed to be in ASR.
Both he, Billy Hatcher, and others are zooming around on what appears to be a new casino track, as well as other new areas in this new trailer, which we have below. Take note at 24 seconds–that’s a new Sega character making an appearance. Our news tipster who sent this information in, Pur, tells us she sees Alex Kidd in the trailer. Beat from Jet Set Radio also may be in there too.

The one that you say is a Mii is Alex Kidd’s model from Sega All-Star Tennis. I didn’t see Beat.

To be honest, I was just referring to the screens alone when it came to Beat.

I’m not surprised about any of these characters. I didn’t know that Beat was confirmed, though… I didn’t catch him before.
Hmm, so that makes THREE characters on bikes, now (Shadow, Big, and Alex Kidd)… There’s also one plane and one buggy (Tails and Eggman), with the rest cars.
Alex Kidd awwwwww and now I see Knuckles I am happy but….. that is a phat over balance of sonic characters.

YES!!! I knew Knuckles was going to be the last character. Beat has a nice car and I’m glad that Billy and Alex are in the game.
