Latest in Series of Strange Embargo Moves
The tight wrap on gameplay within Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games continues…at least, in spots.
The latest strange twist on the embargo we reported on previously occurred late yesterday, when the latest trailer, thought to be official and in the clear, was mysteriously removed from Sega of Europe’s YouTube channel. The trailer is also gone from SEGA’s US FTP site–which, if memory serves correct, is where it was also housed.
Here’s where it gets strange: as of the time of this publication, the trailer still exists on Sega of America’s product page for M&S, as well as the corresponding page for Sega of Europe. Further, TSSZ News has not received a request to remove the trailer as yet. That trailer was originally relayed from IGN.
If the outages become more widespread, it would be the second piece of video to come out of Sega that is suddenly censored. The first was a video diary from Gamescom, produced by Sega of Europe.
So, what gives? The answer is simply not known right now. We do know of one other casualty from the outage–that on the Blognik, which now has a broken YouTube link as a part of one of its most current stories.
It’s all quite confusing–we hope to get some resolution on the matter shortly. Even so, this sudden secrecy so soon to launch day–we’re now about a month to the release of M&S–can’t bode well for the prospects of the final product.

Maybe they don`t want people to dowload the video to put on other sites
Hmm… SEGA acts really strange.
