PAL Edition of M&S Winter Olympics Possibly Leaked

Breaking NewsAt Least One Spanish Site Offering Download

This coming in a few minutes ago via Jack Wallace of Spanish Sonic news site Sonic Paradise–it appears the PAL edition of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games for the Nintendo Wii may have been leaked early via at least one Spanish torrent site.

The Sonic Paradise report cites at least two web sites that are either offering a torrent or direct download of what they claim to be the product.  TSSZ News can only confirm one such site, known as LimiteWii, offering a purported download.  TSSZ News will not link directly to the area available for download, but we can tell you LimiteWii is offering it in four parts, in what appears to be ISO form, with claims the download clocks in at about 4.4 GB. That would fit on DVD storage media, and in turn, with some homebrewing, could be played on a Wii.

We cannot yet verify the authenticity of the allegedly leaked product; we only know that a download purporting to be the PAL edition of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games for the Wii has been made available.  If it holds, it is a leak, and a very big one.  TSSZ News has contacted a community researcher to help verify the download’s authenticity.  We will update this story at once when we get word of those results.  We again thank Jack Wallace of Sonic Paradise for relaying his report to us via our News Tips system.

Many games have been leaked before not published by SEGA. Didn’t it happen with BioShock or Oblivion? But yeah, between that and the FTP screwups, perhaps someone should get on SEGA’s case about it.

This was not necessarily news worthy. The game comes out in a week, and one week before release are when the MAJORITY of ALL games are leaked on the INTERNET.
