New Manager has 18 Years with the Company
Gamasutra reports that Sega has appointed Masano Maeda as Sega of America’s new Chief Operating Officer.
It’s the latest in a series of business shuffles for the company–moves that have included the appointment of Mike Hayes as CEO of both Sega of America and Sega of Europe, and saving Brad Wildes from the depths of Midway to become SoA’s new VP of sales.
Maeda has worked for Sega since 1991, and most recently was an executive advisor for the company. He is credited with masterminding the company’s acquisition of The Creative Assembly, the group behind the Total War franchise.
Maeda will report directly to Hayes.

Sonic Sega! new
I don’t know so much about that… But I hope it’s good.
Just because he’s the new COO, doesn’t mean SoA is going to make new Sonic games. Jeeze.
This could be interesting.
