Looks Like a Launch Party
If you’re in or around the New York City area this Saturday, you may want to hop the subway over to Rockefeller Center, as both Mario and Sonic will be together at last to promote this week’s release of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games.
That will happen at the Nintendo World store, at the corner of the center, right behind the Today show studios. They’ll make appearances from noon to 3PM, eastern time. Participants will be able to get their picture taken with the two gaming titans, so says Sega’s US blog, and there will be an hourly tournament, with prizes going to the best scores and times. All this looks to be part of the proper launch party for both editions of M&S Winter Olympics. You will be able to play both versions in the store.
We can’t make it to the party, but if you can, we invite you to send your photos in via our News Tips system. We’ll be sure to post them with proper attribution on Sunday.

They better be making a Mario and Sonic plat-former after this. I bet they are working on it and are teasing us with these. Just let it happen so that one of my 2 crossover dreams can happen.

i loved the dream figure skating! I laughed, I Cried, I pooped myself when an iced version of ***** (not gonna spoil it if some people didn’t see it) came out from the ice!! seriously its basically what a Sonic the hedgehog on ice show would be like! lol!

Looks better than how I thought it would be. It looks like it’s fun, has some quality, is more like how a Mario and Sonic game should be and just a lot better than the first one. BUT! I won’t end this comment that easily! The game just looks okay. Hey, this is still a party game with crappy Wii controles. I have never ever played a normal game with mini games on Wii that actually is better than okay! They last for at most a week and is mostly just really fun if you have some friends comming sometimes. But if you play lots of games with your friends (like I do) they will get bored soon too. So this looks like a great game to play yourself the first week and play with your friends sometimes. But I don’t think it can be more than that. These kind of games just doesn’t work like that.
But I don’t know haven’t played it yet. Just how I think it looks right now.
Well, got the DS version and it got really good graphics for DS! And it’s pretty good. The Wii version is on my chirstmas whishlist. So….well. I don’t know if that version is good.
i wont get it till friday (uk launch) but i completely forgot about figure skating! using Knuckles or borwer on that would be hilarious
