First Details on First Sonic Universe Tie-In
When issue 210 of Archie Comics’s main Sonic series begins rolling out late in February, it will mark the first time we see a story integrated between series. In this case, getting the whole story will require the purchase of Sonic Universe #13, and we’ll have details on that coming.
This will be another multi-parter. Some Freedom Fighters are facing legionization, but there is conflict within the ranks of the enemy, and that may open a window of opportunity. Ian Flynn writes the arc, and Steven Butler handles primary art duties, with Tracy Yardley handling the cover. We have that cover for you below; it follows Archie’s official description.
“Home Invasion Part One”: In the aftermath of the “Iron Dominion” saga, things are bleaker than ever for our heroes, as one after another is “legionized.” Amy, Geoffrey St. John, Rotor and the others do their best to be brave in the face of impending doom. But Eggman, the Iron Queen and Snively aren’t exactly seeing eye to eye, which may provide hope for our heroes. Not to mention the intrepid team of first-rank heroes waiting for the proper moment to swoop in like the cavalry! Ties into this month’s SONIC UNIVERSE #13

AWSOME!!!
Wait..Nicole switches sides as well…this is going to be epic indeed
meh… not the best looking cover but it’s ok . . .
FOR THOSE WHO READ THE SCOURGE SAGA…
Look at the cover… see nicole… do you happen to remember when silver said that an upcoming betrayal will doom the freedom fighters and create what silver’s future is. I believe that is nicole. After all, she controls everything in all of new mobotpolis’ technology. Of course, at first I thought it was espio (who I hope comes back to good soon. ESPIO RULES!) but maybe it isn’t nicole, because who knows what the future of the comics hold. ONLY IAN FLNN!!!!!
cgc : Not another fave of mine on the dark side makes me a sad guy but it does great to the story
@cgc: That’s not a bad hypothesis, I don’t think we saw hide nor hair of her in the thrity years later series, so either she somehow went on to build a life for herself instead of with Sally, or maybe she betrayed them – hopefully totally unintentionally and under the influence of the Iron Queen. It would make sense given the Queens control over technology…
Not that you can ever predict these comics.
Wonder what ‘legionizing’ is… probably just a spiffed up word for another form of ‘roboticising’.
