Journey Into the East…Cover Inside
Sonic Universe #13, out in February, will tie into Archie’s Sonic #210, which will be released later in the month.
On the Universe side, the tie-in will begin a new four part arc dubbed Journey to the East. Not clear at the moment is whether the cross-pollination will span multiple issues. To this point, Sonic Universe has needed four issues to finish off stories.
This component will begin with Sonic saving Sally, Monkey Khan, and Tails from imprisonment. Ian Flynn penned the script, and Tracy Yardley handled the art–including the cover, which you can see after Archie’s official description.
“Journey into the East Part One: Endless Reach of Fate”: After a fierce battle with the Spider Ninjas, Sonic rescues Sally, Tails and Monkey Khan from the Gossamer Clan Cave in which they’ve been imprisoned. Things get introspective as Sally blames herself for the recent turn of events, but when they all meet the Bride of the Endless Reach, our heroes realize they are in the middle of a much bigger picture than they thought! Ties into this month’s SONIC THE HEDGEHOG #210
