A Community Newcomer Goes Old-School
A new addition to the Sonic community has a new fan game in the works. We would like to share it with you.
It’s called Sonic Axiom and it’s the product of vexer, who released the first gameplay trailer for the SFG last week. So far it’s getting well received, in part due to its more classical approach. Vexer has said he intend to pay homage to classic Sonic titles of the 90s…as well as some Sonic fan games well known in the community, like Sonic Nexus.
As seen during much of the gameplay, much of the aesthetic will lean toward Sonic CD. Plans are for players to use Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles in Axiom. No demo yet, but we’ll let you know when one pops up–from the video below, the SFG looks like a good bit of fun. Judge for yourself after watching:

That’s looking quite nice, actually! I look forward to seeing any indication of a demo. Just watching it, I felt like it’d be a comfortable enough gaming experience. Time will tell, but hey! I can wait.

Yeah, put Knuckles dying in the trailer. That’s smart. Aside from my issues with this guy taking a few steps then stopping with each character, this looks like it COULD show promise. In my opinion, best fan game was Sonic MegaMix, hands down. Maybe this will be pretty good as well.
Looks pretty good. Can’t wait for a demo. Question from someone who has a short memory, what fan games are in develoment that are worth a look apart from this one of course and Sonic Nexus?
