Retailers Give Exacts on ASR Courses, Characters

With so many “over” this, and “in between” that, it appears either very likely that we now have a clear idea of what to expect, on the most basic level, from Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing.

Descriptions have popped up on several retailers, including Wal-Mart and Gamestop.  They are alike, so this may be the bottom line.  In short, the descriptions cite 20 characters–just 20–and 24 courses.  The descriptions make no mention of DLC.  These descriptions are holding across all platforms, including the Nintendo DS edition.

Also of note are some of the release dates.  American retailers have stayed fairly consistent throughout the ASR developments in offering a late February release timetable, specifically February 23rd, which is a Tuesday.  UK retailers appear to be are lining up more in the March arena.

For the moment, that’s what we know.  It’s tiny, but important, and whether this will quell the speculation and confusion out there is anybody’s guess.  We’ll continue to update you on ASR as warranted.
