XBOX Site Affirms DLC for ASR

Glimmer of Hope for Cut Chars and More
Given the news concerning ToeJam & Earl and all the hubbub surrounding NiGHTS, this is likely not a shock to most–certainly not “breaking news” with all the hints. Still, with official interviews showing Sumo Digital reps still wishy washy toward the prospect, it’s nice to know a company outlet can lay to rest once and for all the prospect of DLC in Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing.
That outlet is not yet Sega, but Microsoft, who on their page for ASR, have added “Content Downloads” to the roster of features for the game. There are also some items of note from Xbox.com’s entry too–such as the prospect of online tournaments, voice support, and player stats. The extent of all that remains unclear right now.
The Xbox.com release also quotes the same base numbers as had been seen in releases to gaming stores–20 base characters, and 24 base courses. Of course, DLC would expand that in due time, and more likely than not at a price.
Unclear is whether this may be the news we’re expecting Sega themselves to announce this week. Also unclear is whether the DLC will remain exclusive to the XBOX360 and PS3 editions–leaving Nintendo owners in the dark. A lot of the finer questions remain unanswered, so we’ll continue to follow developments on ASR here at TSSZ News.

Segata Sanshiro or bust, Sumo Digital.
I won’t raise up any hopes just yet. Sonic Unleashed has marked on there “Leaderboards” and that never really came to fruition.
I want Ristar!
@SetnaroX, that’s true, but a bit different isn’t it? That and Unleashed actually delivered DLC. =P
Okay, great.
But I’ll get the wii version… and I guess there’s no DLC there.
okay, great
