Sonic SceneNew Story to Debut May 1st

Archie Comics has been a proud participant in Free Comic Book Day in past years, and 2010 will be no different.  In addition to a free Archie themed comic on May 1st, Sonic the Hedgehog will again join the ranks of comics that will keep you reading on May 1st.

This week, Archie has released information on the Sonic story that will be available for Free Comic Book Day.  Ian Flynn penned the script, with James Fry and Jim Amash handling art duties.  Tracy Yardley is also involved with the cover, with you can see below–following Archie’s description of their Free Sonic comic.

“Hide & Seek & DESTROY!”: Dr. Eggman has vanished–or has he? As Sonic searches for clues, he stumbles across an old weapon from the bygone days of his childhood. Will Dr. Eggman allow Sonic to be destroyed by this threat from yesteryear? Will Sonic discover the truth behind his old rival’s disappearance? All the answers lie in this free issue!
