Video: Engine Test Affirms Sonic Nebulous 2 Development

Ironrind Just Getting Started

This has been largely overlooked, but a video consisting of nothing more than an engine test affirms development of a very unique and popular SFG franchise: Sonic Nebulous.

The game–and its wild art direction–is the brain child of Ironrind, and in mid-October he posted a very basic video to YouTube.  Containing Mecha Sonic (as opposed to Metal Sonic), the video demonstrates a planned targeting system for Sonic Nebulous 2.  Characters will be able to look at incoming enemies, as well as other items of interest.  While nothing more, the premise is exciting, and seeing as Sonic Nebulous stands as one of only a handful of SFGs to see completion, the notion of a sequel is sure to gauge interest.

Check out the new video below.  We’ll be sure to keep tabs on anything new related to Sonic Nebulous 2.

So this is the sequel to that game what seemed to have a lot of promise but had some problems.

The first poster reminds us of the character art. I remember how I said something about it in the first game. Now, a mech-Sonic isn’t a bad idea but he looks too much like grey Metal. He’s supposed to be short and stout like classic look sonic.

Also, please more color. Needs more color to it. Real is not grey or brown, it’s colors.

This is an interesting SFG, however, I do say it’s biggest problems are its colours and character design. They seem to imply an uber dark setting in the story, which I do loathe.
