The game was bad. It stunk. It was linear. It was a chore. Felt more like a minigame than a real game. We don't hate because it's Sonic. We hate it because it really is a bad game. It deserves the honor. If you're seriously defending SEGA's ass right now, then you really don't understand what makes Sonic Sonic. The only redeeming qualities was the amount of fan service (the fan art and music from the games of past), the absolutely beautiful graphics (Very impressive lighting and detail... Looks like a low end 360 game), and.... Huh... There was nothing else to praise... The linear gameplay is offputting (I've played through the entire game... It was a friggin chore!), the storyline comes out of nowhere (Oh, the hero had to be Sonic, eh? For all I care, she would've summoned the Flash for all we care), and while I haven't played the multiplayer mode, I do get the feeling that I won't like it. It deserves the award. The game itself is shovelware. Gorgeous and rewarding to fans for service... but still shovelware. Stop defending this game. In Canada, The Source is selling it for $25, I'll be getting it soon. Other places have it for #35. It felt like they tried to mix combat with the speed gameplay (opposite of SU) and it resulted in having to keep stopping and backtracking, since you'd always be running into enemies.
