Signs of Imminent New Details May be Premature
The results of the latest TSSZ News @Issue poll show that fans continue to be anxious about the next Sonic–a title we still don’t know a lot about–and that they want to see something substantive sooner rather than later.
Out of 640 votes, our final results show that 62% think Sega is waiting too long to release new information on Project Needlemouse. Thirty-eight of respondents said they didn’t think so. January will mark the fourth month since Sega unleashed its vague trailer announcing Needlemouse.
Sega had previously indicated new Needlemouse information would be released in 2010 (we would hope, given it’s to be released then!). A teaser line on Gamespot has led a few to believe something will be coming sooner rather than later, perhaps as early as Friday. But read that “talk things House of Sonic” line again–”house of Sonic” is merely another way to say “the house that Sonic built.” It is a figure of speech, and there’s no concrete way to say whether Needlemouse–or Sonic in general, for that matter–will be a part of the interview. It does bear watching, but don’t raise hopes just yet.
In the interim, a new poll–also Needlemouse related–is now available for you to vote on.

cool the title is sonic lengend and that my favorite title because sounds like relay hard game because it probley was hedgehog engine but only the part they try to better in the game yeahhhhh 2010 wooooow cant wait.
@philip: The title is NOT Sonic Legend. It was fake.
Yeah, I like when I get news early. Not too early, but not late.
It would be epic if it actually was out Friday.
oh you morons just wait, Sega will release new info when it’s ready
People need patience. As eager as I am to finally see something on this, I can wait however long I need to if it ensures that this game will be up to snuff and a worthy addition to the Sonic Legacy(Sonic 1, 2, 3, and Knuckles).
“House Of Sonic” them what
As for the poll, I just wish there was a “Gameplay” option. That’s really the only thing that matters for any new Sonic game period, it has to be fun, and it has to satisfy a lot of fans.
So… Fans complain when SEGA leaks information and they complain when SEGA DOESN’T leak? What a fandom this is!
yhe agree, Sega is doingthe right thing not reaveling everything, when they are READY to reveal they should only reveal little things and not everything like they did with Unleashed…
SEEEEGGAAAA
I want this game so bad
Bull fucking shit at the rest of you.
It’s been 4 months. 4 MONTHS. And it’s aggravating not because of the amount of time, but because of the amount of time it’s been since we got little to no info other than the game is happening in 2010. We a got a teaser people, a TEASER. Not even a full-fledged trailer, or screenshots, or even a slight idea of what will really go on in the game aside from being 2D and HD, not that it makes any difference.
So yeah, they’re taking too long with info for this damn game. A trailer would be nice sometime next week or so. >_> (*Is actually meaning next month in January*)
@Wave Kusanagi: Impatient people like you is why we get rushed shitty Sonic games. Just learn to wait.
@serpx
No, he’s right. If they didn’t want to tell us anything about it, they shouldn’t have shown it to us. When Nintendo has a new game, they say they’re working on it only when they have something to show. You can bet we Zelda fans are a little pissed when it comes to Zelda Wii’s info since Nintendo is pulling a Sega there. The problem isn’t the production speed, the problem is the teaser’s release timing.
I first said, they took too long, but I’ve reevaluated my ideas.
The thing is, if they release information, then they’ll have a ton of spastics saying “this game is going to suck” “it’s the sonic cycle all over again”
and so on and so forth.
So to avoid all of that crap, it is logical to hold off.
They made the mistake with Unleased, maybe they’ve learned.
Even if they released the TINIEST trailer, it would get overwhelming criticizing response. So more power to SEGA for holding off for this long.
