Did Toymaker Duplicate a Crucial Part?
You may have heard of someone having two left feet. What about two right shins?
It appears at least some of the latest 3-inch articulated Werehog figures–the ones with joints–may leave buyers bent out of shape. According to an account by Sonic Retro moderator Aquaslash, some of the toys have a two right shins, with the “left” shin merely a duplicate, attached backwards:
If you look very closely on the leg that works properly, you’ll see a small indentation in the plastic to indicate the proper direction of the shin. The misassembled leg will have this on the backside.
Now it is possible to fix, if you have a small enough screwdriver, however this leads you to the reason why the shin is on backwards.
It’s because it’s the wrong part to begin with.
I “fixed” the issue only to find that my Werehog has two right shins.
But what makes this gaffe hard to tell for prospective buyers, in Aquaslash’s words, is how the toys are packaged. The way the Werehog is posed in them, he fears consumers won’t be able to tell there’s a problem:
Of course, the major issue with this is that you can’t tell a defective Werehog from a good one inside the packaging (especially since the limbs are often packaged backwards anyway. You’ll only know if you buy one and try to move it yourself.)
For the moment, this only appears to impact some of the 3 inch articulated Werehog figures from Jazwares, and while annoying, the defect isn’t dangerous on the level of meriting a recall, if at all dangerous. Still, TSSZ News has put in for comment with Jazwares, asking the company to address the issue. Should we hear back, we will update at once.
If you’ve bought this toy and you’re experiencing the same problems, we’d like to hear from you. Speak up in our comments section, or send something in via our News Tips system.

I got a werehog toy and the legs broke
One leg broke, might have been my fault (might have dropped it at one point), but I can’t remember.
Hey! One leg broke on mine too! I had to superglue it back on. I had no idea why, I just found it on my desk with a broken leg – I thought maybe because I had propped it standing up and there was too much pressure, since I never dropped it or barely even touched it – at that point it was one of my few treasured Sonic merchandise. Dodgy much… lol conspiracy!
Wow, all of you?
I`ve gotten a SatBK one
has a rubber sword and is really good to ajust different poses!
My bro got it from forbbidin planet down newcastle!
Who watches on BBC 3 russel howards good news? or Being human?

only on ecan hope lol
in 2 more years we`ll die! (Lol the film: 2012 ^_^)
bye!
I’m sure this will be fixed soon. Jazwares is good about fixing merchandise that has problems, even if it’s as minor as a paint error. The first batch of Metal Sonic figures had paint errors, but Jazwares fixed him. A few Tails figures had problems with his tails falling off. Immediately fixed. They even resculpted the JUVI line so that the faces of the characters are facing forward. I can pretty much guarantee you that within the next few months, no more Werehogs will have leg issues.
i went on a sonic themed shopping sree and bought the werehog (big and litttle), regular sonic, sonic and the black knight, and super sonic! i just have 1 question…. why are super sonic’s spikes like regular sonic’s ?! is it that hard to put them up lol!
I think this news is kinda… old.
I don’t have the Werehog figure, but I do have just regular Sonic…I have noticed one of his shins goes outward, making it hard to stand up…well, harder than normal since it’s top-heavy to begin with.
I kinda figured if I continue to bend it more inwards it’d fix on its own
