A Good Bit of Money Raised for Earthquake Victims
Sometimes, there are more important things going on in the world than community angst and rampant Sonic speculation. Sega’s European division acknowledged this Monday in-office–and then Tuesday on the website–with Hats for Haiti, an internal fundraiser with the proceeds going to victims of the devastating quake centered near Haiti’s capital, Port-Au-Prince.
The picture you see here is the ultimate result of that fundraiser. In all the Sega Europe staff raised £780 toward the cause–a little more than $1,276 US dollars.
That money, sadly, cannot help revive the 70,000 or so believed to be dead from the natural disaster. But it will be added to a growing pot that’s expected to directly contribute and improve conditions in the impoverished country.
As of the time of this article’s publication, it’s been estimated the Red Cross has collected some $112 million toward Haiti earthquake relief. They could always use more.

Wow that`s real cool of them
