Rave Reviews Already After Much Anticipation
Sonic Scener Hez released a public demo of highly anticipated SFG Sonic Classic this week.
It is, by most accounts, a short demo–only one act of one zone–but also by those accounts, it is spectacular. Fans on Sonic Retro and Sonic Fan Games HQ have already expressed their delight to see a product. A few who downloaded the demo early were even treated to a beta copy of what’s to come–a problem Hez has since fixed.
Sonic Classic is an evolution of Hez’s original Sonic 1 PC project, with plenty of new levels and items. It may be too early to speak of SAGE 2010, but how nice would it be to see the next demo or even the finished product on display then? We will see–and we’ll keep tracking developments on the project.

Oh, it’s absolutely beautiful game. :3 I can’t wait to fully play through the finished product. If needlemouse or whatever it’ll be called in the end fails me, I will always have this treasure.
Damnit, too many Windows fangames. I just might as well give in to running Wine on my Mac.
Truley awesome. The only thing i could possibly ask for is full screen display. Otherwise this game is perfect. Can’t wait for more news on this.
