Prope’s Ivy the Kiwi? Coming to Wii, DS

Tristan Oliver | February 3, 2010

But Only in Japan…for Now

Back in November when we first told you about Prope’s latest game Ivy the Kiwi?, it was intended as a Windows Mobile exclusive.  One of the comments from our story was from a reader who wanted the game to come to the Nintendo DS.

As it turns out, that wish–and more–will be granted.

The latest Famitsu magazine does have a listing for Prope’s latest and greatest to come to both the Nintendo DS and the Wii–that’s according to GoNintendo.  Not clear at the moment is whether this will be a proper physical release, or whether Ivy the Kiwi? will be limited to Wiiware or DSiware.  Also not clear are prospects of any version of the game coming to domestic shores.

We’re trying to track down the specific Famitsu article–if and when we find it, we’ll report back here.  Regardless, it’s nice to see Sega taking another chance on Yuji Naka’s development studio, seeing as Let’s Tap didn’t do as well as was hoped for.

PLEASE release this overseas. It’s awesome that it’s out on Wii and DS, but making it Japan-exclusive isn’t a smart move.

And I thought Let’s Tap sold well? It was marketed to hell over here.
