Bentley Jones “So Much More” Music Video Scrapped

But the Contest Meant for It Extended

On Friday, some significant changes were announced to the contest related to the primary theme for Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, So Much More.  We told you about the contest details in January, and more specifically how winning entries would be part of a music video.

Now…not so much.  At least when it comes to the “official” part.

Purportedly as a response to fan grumblings about the original contest’s rules restricting the use of game characters in entries, Bentley Jones has announced the plans for an official music video have been scrapped, in order to scrap that particular rule and allow for more entries.

“We’ve had to cancel production of the official music video so that MORE of you can enter,” Bentley said on his official website.

As noted, with the bad comes good; the rules now allow game character use, and the original prize bundles can still be won–and, in a few cases, have been upgraded.  Further, the original 2-5 minute length limit on entries has also been lifted.  The “music video” part appears dead though–there’s no indication any unofficial production on a piece will take place.

To accommodate the changes, the contest deadline has been extended to midnight GMT on March 5th–that’s 7PM the same day in the eastern US and 4PM in the west.

Be as CREATIVE as you can!

YOU CANNOT:
You cannot excessively use official artwork
You cannot use game footage
You cannot use official animations (cutscenes, cartoons, anime etc.)

WINNERS will still receive the original prize bundles. Even better in fact… the concept art has been upgraded to a SIGNED CONCEPT ART BOOK from SONIC & SEGA ALL-STARS RACING.

Entries that have already been accepted WILL NOT BE AFFECTED and the original terms and conditions still apply. However, if you want to SUBMIT A NEW ENTRY you can do that too!
