New to Us Yankees, Anyway
For a week now, UK XBOX 360 users have been spoiled with a more than six minute look at Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, courtesy of the Inside XBOX service.
The honeymoon’s over now, as the full interview with Sumo’s Steve Lycett has been posted to YouTube. Dave Blewett, a designer with Sumo, also joins the fray for a portion of the interview.
There’s a lot of new footage, particularly in the beginning portion, and you may see an All-Star move or two you haven’t yet seen in action. And, once again, why Sonic is limited to the confines of a car is put to rest in this piece.
Check it out in the video below, courtesy of the Official Inside XBOX Channel Youtube page.

Xbox 360º is almost SEGA’s new console
hehe love SEGA, I like the SoL guy SEGA should hired him to SONIC TEAM hehe
and so Oshima (that guy who created the Hedgehog Engine)
ooh well… I know SONIC TEAM and SEGA are really AWSOME they know what they’r doing
@Sonic Unleashed (SU)
I think Sega should just do games for the Xbox 360 and the Wii because most Sonic fans have those instead of the PS3.
@SonicLegends
there are alot of ps3 users as well mind you. I don’t think it would be fair to cut even a part of the possible sellers. AND also SoL did say like 20 times that the PS3 version was the main version of all-stars racing.
I own a ps3. don’t like the 360. I got my reasons.
But don’t take out the ps3 people.
@Evil-Antho
Well i see where you are coming from like how the Xbox 360 burns out <_< and besides i have Wii, DS and PSP anyway.
@ SonicLegends
I don’t have a wii or 360, I used to have a wii but sold it for a 360. Then after two weeks decided to sell the 360 (mostly due to the fact whenever I went to sleep I’d worried that in morning I’d would wake up and the 360 wouldn’t work). I thoroughly hate Microsoft products they release software and hardware with very little if any testing. They except the consumers to test their product and see if they work and are up to code. If I had to choose an operating system from Microsoft to be stuck with it’d be Windows 3.11.
Oh and there’s also the fact that Bill Gates literally steals a lot of ideas from other places. Internet Explorer, stolen from Netscape, Windows, bought Dos and used that to create the first Windows OS. In fact all the Window’s OS’ up to XP are all made around DOS. Microsoft doesn’t care about the consumer or what happens when the product reaches their hands, that’s why they never test their products before shipping (you need to look no further than Windows 2000 and Vista). This is why I prefer consoles to computer gaming, console are at least more stable and reliable, at least until Microsoft entered the ring.
My only saving grace was getting that Mac book two years ago. Having grown up on Windows getting a Mac was the best thing ever. If you do need to run Windows applications you have Parallels or other virtual OS emulators, or even boot camp. Another thing, my dad is a programmer, so he is able to cope and solve the majority of problems associated with Windows. To him the preferred operating system is Linux (I think he uses SUN or Red Hat). He also thinks Microsoft are a bunch of slime balls out for you money. And this is from someone who deals with computers for a living.
I was more than happy to place down the 599.99 on the 60 Gig PS3 when it first came out, and would do so again if my only other option was something from Microsoft. As for applications like Word or excel there are much better alternatives, IBM’s Lotus Suite or even Open Office. Even Windows’ Defragmenter can be easily replace (word of advice never use the built in Defragmenter it’s way too slow and nowhere as efficient as the majority of third parties’).

bet you didn’t know Steve Jobs was also a thief…
On that note, everyone quit bashing each other! Everything be it the Ps3, 360, Wii, mac, linux ect, all have good and bad things to them. I use windows for visual studio and rts’. I have a 360 for Xna. I love zelda for the Wii and I’d love to play LittleBig planet for ps3.
In short, quit acting like Fanboys!!!
Sorry, double post. The link above isn’t entirely acurate. Bill Gates bought QDos, he didn’t write it. Ibm came to him for a spreadsheet program he had written. For more info, watch the documentary Triumph of the Nerds.
Ack! Triple post… I messed up on my last one. Gates was asked for a programming language, not a spreadaheet. That’s what I get for commenting during my engineering class.
@ Sonic Unleashed
Oshima didn’t make the Hedgehog Engine. That was Yoshihisa Hashimoto, who works for Square Enix last we heard.
Sonic Legends : So true most of my new Sonic games are for Wii & 360 & I don`t own a PS3 but I do own a PSP thou
Leaving out PS3 would be a mistake, lol. There are plenty of Sonic loving fans who only have a PS3 (for obvious reasons including serious technical issues, I don’t blame anyone for not wanting the 360 or Wii)
