One Last Tweak to Storied Sega Franchise
There is, in fact, other news to report this Friday, including word from Japan’s Arcade Operators Union expo that Sega will be giving one last tweak to the long running Virtua Fighter 5 in the form of Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown.
We don’t know a lot about the arcade fighter update right now, except that the characters will be given a set of new costumes, and there will be new animations, and new moves. We also have no idea if Final Showdown will see the light of day on a home console. We do have this one minute long video to show, courtesy of YouTube user itsumobasho, and it’s pretty neat, given that it only shows off character moves.
Take a look at it below. We’ll be sure to give you more information on Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown as it becomes available.

Uhh… is it “Virtua Fighter 5: Final Evolution” or “Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown”? You mention both names in the article…
Now, Sega should release this instead of Revolution. Especially seeing we didn’t get a home port of VF4: Final Tune
I really wish for VF5 newest version to be released to home consoles or at least a DLC pack that updates all changes and adds the new characters like Taka-Arashi. Also Border Break would be awesome. At least were getting Afterburner Climax….
Could this be Virtua Fighter’s last game? I just hope that it will continue. I like VF.
