And it was a Good Review, Too
So far, a lot of international reviews are coming in for Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, and most of them are pretty good.
Among them is German magazine Gamepro–which is related to the American counterpart. Most of their staff uniformly settled on scores of 82 percent across all versions of the game, with the lead reviewer giving the game a 9 out of 10 and claiming he doesn’t care if it’s a clone or not.
And, out of the goodness of the magazine’s hearts, they added some very pretty screenshots from ASR, presumably captured during the review process. In them, you can see, among other things, how the Sega Miles system will work, and some beautifully rendered scenery.
Check it out in the gallery below. Tomorrow, ASR launches in North America, and TSSZ News is here to cover all the launch festivities. So far, most of the reviews internationally are hovering on average in the 80s range, and that’s a good sign.

Very good.
Finally a review that doesnt care about it being a clone as many others say it is. Very good review/score indeed.
This game is verry promising.
…Wait. Why would they show Jacky and Akira in the game’s intro movie, if you have to buy them from the shop? Shouldn’t they be available from the beginning?
Ah, the heck with it. At this point, I don’t really much care. I can worry about that kind of stuff after I’ve played it. I’m really looking forward to getting my hands on this game.
Unfortunately, I gotta say, I don’t have much patience. One day away from release, and yet, February 23rd seems so far away…
Well, that’s great! I really hope this continues! This can finally be a Sonic game reviewers doesn’t bash! But there’s a lot more left…
Wow, so far the reviews range from “ok” and “great”. First Sonic game I seen in awhile to be nearly universally liked thus far.
If it wasn’t for that whale submarine thingy, the second screenshot would remind me ALOT of Jungle Joyride ( or Emerald Coast). . .
