But Not Quite in the Way You Think
Starting tomorrow, you can order a soundtrack that has a selection of 8 bit Sonic tunes.
But it’s not the product of Sega completely going on a retro binge. Rather, it’s from well known Yuzo Koshiro, one of the most well known composers of game music. He, in association with Egg Music, is publishing Yuzo Koshiro Early Collection 2nd+, which is another compilation of his 8 and 16 bit work…including the 8 bit, Game Gear/Master System release of Sonic the Hedgehog.
Of note for fans are the final six tracks in the 50 track album. Tracks 45 through 50 are all from the 8 bit Sonic, including four level themes (labeled Stage BGM A through D), the boss theme, and the special stage theme.
Classic Sega fans shouldn’t be disappointed with a purchase either, as the album also includes several tunes from the Game Gear port of Shinobi, as well as original compositions.
Check with your local importer for availability. Thanks to our German news partners at Spindash.de for sending this information in to TSSZ News.

Yuzo Korshiro is the man, i bet they might do decently in sales if they go along with this.
If it has the ending theme from the 8-bit Sonic 2 then WANT
Wow. That was unexpected.
Bridge Zone FTW.
I’m kinda hoping for some tunes from Tails Adventure if that’s the case
Wait, are the tacks gonna be remastered or redone? Or are the just gonna sound nearly identical to the originals? Cuz the orginals are free for download at certain Sonic sites and have been around for a while, so that would make this release pointless.
