E.G.G. Station Zone Also Confirmed
The French website Succes Full has disclosed twelve achievements for the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I, and one of those achievements confirms Super Sonic will appear.
Also among the twelve achivements–totaling 200 points–is confirmation that E.G.G. Station Zone will be present in the game. That was namedropped in a story we brought here in January, and then removed at the request of a third party. You’ll also see that the game’s online component will allow leaderboards for times and scores for the game’s stages.

Clear SPLASH HILL ZONE, ACT 1. (5)Crush Dr. Eggman
Defeat a boss for the first time. (5)The First Chaos Emerald
Acquire a Chaos Emerald. (5)Enemy Hunter
Defeat 1,000 enemies. (10)Golden Flash
Clear all Acts as Super Sonic. (10)All Stages Cleared!
Defeat the final boss and view the ending. (10)Contender
Upload your recorded scores and clear times for all stages. (10)Ring Collector
Collect all the Rings in ‘Special Stage 1′ and Clear the stage. (15)Immortal
Build up 99 or more extra lives. (25)Super Sonic Genesis
Acquire all seven Chaos Emeralds. (30)Speed’s My Game
Clear SPLASH HILL ZONE ACT 1 in less than a minute. (35)Untouchable
Clear the E.G.G. STATION ZONE without taking any damage. (40)

An Oasis at the end of vast desert. Super Sonic Returns should be an achievement though I wonder if the PS3 Trophy system will be different; in the descriptions of the Trophies.

The only thing that’ll change is you’ll get Exp instead of Points.
Why couldn’t the classic game releases by Backbone have achievements like that?

I don’t like playing as Super Sonic that much (period; in levels or final boss). But this shows that Sonic Team is actually trying this time.

Damn. Now that’s a nice list of achievements. I think I’ll have some fun with this game yet.
I’m pretty sure that SEGA knows that if they screw up this time, nobody’s going near Sonic again. They have to make sure its persfect, and they’re taking the neccessary steps: 2D, Sonic only playable character, on the 3 next gen systems, no boost gauge (I read somewhere), and now this.
I wanna believe this, I really do. But sega always considers putting super sonic in regular levels in just about every new sonic game; They almost did it for sonic adventure on DC, as well as next gen, but eventually scrapped the idea.

I gotta admit I was a tad upset when I thought there would only be four zones in this game, I eventually sucked it up and got over it “remembering that there would be an episode 2″. Now there’s a fifth zone confirmed!!! FIVE ZONES, 3 ACTS IN EACH, 15 ACTS AS A TOTAL, PLUS BOSS FIGHTS AT THE END OF EACH ONE, AND THERE’S SPECIAL STAGES, AND YOU CAN PLAY AS SUPER SONIC THROUGH NORMAL STAGES!!!….NOW I’M SUPER HYPED!!! EFF THE SONIC CYCLE, THIS GAME IS BOUT 2 BE BEAST ROAST!!!
Well, E.G.G. Station zone will probably be a 1 act zone (since it just says to clear the zone and not the act), but if E.G.G. station zone wasn’t on the menu, other stages could be too!

Is there a Download Link for a Demo or something?
Does this mean no more 3d sonic games. I mean, not all the 3d games have been bad. Shadow the Hedgehog, the werehog, and sonic having a sword were bad ideas from the start, but other than that theyve been fine. ( I never played next generation so I cant personally say it was crap. Plus, I know a few people who actually liked it.)
E.G.G. Station Zone probably will be a 1Act Zone maybe 2. And that achievement for not taking damage on the E.G.G Station probably won’t be hard if you get the 7 Chaos Emeralds(Super Sonic).
