Now Available in Japan on Wii and DS
Slipping very quietly through the cracks last Thursday was the release of Ivy the Kiwi? to Japanese consoles by Bandai Namco Games. It is the second console endeavor by Yuji Naka’s Prope studio, a mostly independent area that is partially funded by Sega.
Originally developed for Windows Mobile phones, Bandai Namco picked up publishing rights on both the Nintendo Wii and DS. You may remember that the game involves drawing vines to guide a constantly moving Ivy through stages. On the DS, that’s done through the stylus, and on the Wii, the Wiimote is used. There is a time attack element in it all, as well.
To mark the occasion, the Prope YouTube channel has uploaded several gameplay videos from Ivy the Kiwi?, and we have a few of them below. There’s no word on whether this will be coming to domestic shores, but we’ll let you know if it does.
