Find Out Where You Can Meet Sonic Writer Ian Flynn
Of note tomorrow–other than it’s the first day of May–is that it’s Free Comic Book Day, the day the comic industry uses to promote the craft by giving away tons of free issues.
Archie Comics will again be participating in the day by releasing a free Sonic comic to retailers, dubbed Hide & Seek & Destroy. You can head over to our March story, which went inside the pages of it, before you pick it up at your local comic book shop tomorrow.
And if you’re in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, you may want to plan a trip to Heroes on East 7th Street, where Sonic writer Ian Flynn will join several others in the industry for a giant autograph session. The session will be held from 1-5PM, and there you’ll not only get access to the Sonic comic, but about 30 more free editions.

Thank god I live near a comic book store.
where do you live crysore because i want to get that comic so badley.
I live in Delaware, not really “comic central” but its a nice little store. Why?
You want me to get you a copy? XD
I wonder if it REALLY is “Free” comic book day?
I remember going the local comic book store last year with my little sis to go pick up a copy of the free Sonic comic. Since there were a bunch of other free comics, my sister eventually saw one she liked (after I got my Sonic comic) but the store clerk said I had to pay to get another one (it was also one of those free editions)! Naturally I didn’t bring money since I knew exactly what I was going to get, so my sister left the store with me all sad and mad and all. . .
But maybe it was JUST that specific store. . . Anything similar happen to anybody else?
Aw man, I missed it.
Horrayy I mangaed to get the free comic….I must say…kickass

My local comic store lets you take as many as you want, but according to the Free Comic Book Day website, “Different shops have policies on how many free comics you can receive, but you will receive at least one free comic if you enter a participating shop location.”
