Turns Out It’s a Full Fledged Sim
Yesterday we reported on the scarce details of two projects Yuji Naka and Prope are working on. We speculated from an earlier trademark filed that Let’s Go Golf could be one of the two, based on the filing of a trademark earlier in the year. With the Let’s brand, it made sense.
Thankfully, one of our TSSZ News readers pointed us in the right direction of what Let’s Go Golf is: an arcade simulator. This is according to the official Japanese website, which apparently opened in February under everyone’s noses. The game is quite similar to already existing setups–players will use a golf club and virtually swing their way through several challenges. Some, like the pin seeker activity, are realistic. However, there appear to be a few more imaginative activities as well. Let’s Go Golf also appears to support up to four players taking turns at taking shots.
Nowhere on the Let’s Go Golf website is there a Prope logo, however, or any mention of the developer’s involvement. So, what could that second Prope project be? One mystery leads to another, but we thank the tipster for clarity all the same. If you have news to share, be sure to share it with us by clicking News Tips at the top of every page.
