Copies were Temporarily Sold Out on Amazon
How confident was Yuji Naka and Prope in its latest project Ivy the Kiwi? Last week, they published a children’s novel based on the game.
The 28 page book was temporarily sold out upon first release to Amazon’s Japanese division. We’re not sure if the release was in paperback, hardcover or both–the translated listing shows both on the same page. But for ¥1,260, or about $14 plus shipping, you can own the story of Ivy’s quest to find her mother–complete with the same quality illustrations within the pages that made the game’s visuals so unique.
If you’re interested in tracking the book down, bear in mind that it is meant for children, and it is written in Japanese. But if art is your first love, it may be worth investigating, and it nothing else, it enhances the family atmosphere many have already claimed of the game. We will see if the target demographics purchase Ivy the Kiwi? when XSEED Games brings it to North American shores this Summer.

Aww, bless. =3
