TouchArcade gets a look at Splash Hill
With only four zones in Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1, you can’t really blame Sega for trying to keep the other three a secret. Should they cave and finally show more than Splash Hill Zone, they will have essentially revealed half of the entire game. So, once again, we’ve got even more footage of Splash Hill Zone. This time it comes out of TouchArcade, a site dedicated to reviewing iPhone games (and their ilk). They get their hands on, as you may have guessed, the iPhone version of the game, and as they play it, they talk with a Sega rep about everything from controls, extra levels, and what might be in store for Episode 2.

And if you’re still not sick of seeing Splash Hill Zone yet, here’s another video, this time of the Xbox 360 version, for your perusal:

Thanks for the news tip, Sonicsmashkirby.

Lookin’ better, SEGA. Keep it up.
they need to get rid of those fuking speed boosts. there is no reason to have more than 2 or 3 in a stage.
@flame6753
There are more than 10 of them in Sonic 2′s second stage(Forget the name, don’t really play 2) in the first FIVE SECONDS OF IT than in this whole LEVEL. WHUT ^ WIT D@? Seriously, Sonic 2 and 3 used more speed boosters(Or springs on sides of walls that you could use for INSTANT MAXIMUM SPEED) than what seems like this whole GAME. Very easy since the game is only four levels long but still.

My only minor nitpick is how the boost pads put you in automatic spin dash instead of just normally speeding up like in Sonic 2 and 3.
But aside from that….I must say, this game is actually looking better than I thought.
Still need work on it
That pre programed springs are ridiculous
Can someone PLEASE tell me why Sonic no longer maintains spinball form when he flies off a slope? This decision does not make any sense to me. Instead, he comes off the slope with his arms and legs wide open saying “I’m susceptible! Hit me while you still can!”
