A Small Taste of What’s to Come
Consider this, in a sense, a preview of coming attractions at Eggman’s Amazing Interstellar Amusement Park.
Part of an E3 video preview from French site Nintendo Difference included a clear view of the world map from Sonic Colors. You can see several branches from the core of the park, which be believe to be the Tropical Resort Zone. You’ll also get a peek at that Metal Sonic-like planet at the top right corner. You’ll also notice what appears to be a space station in the lower left, floating on its own. Finally, a rocket flies into place on the world map. It’s an area unto itself, but there’s a second piece right above that’s also locked. In all, there may be ten areas for Sonic to explore, at least for the core game.
If you see something of note in the above photo, be sure to speak up in the comments section and start a discussion. Below, you’ll find the complete Nintendo Difference video from their Sonic Colors playthrough, which includes another off-camera playthrough of Sweet Mountain Zone.

That Metal Sonic planet looks awesome!
Looks BRUTAL
beat Sonic4 and maybe Unleashed
, it should cvome out to the 360º as well
@Sonic Unleashed (SU): I too want it for 360… Oh well, at least we get to play Sonic 4! =D
Anyone thinking Metal Sonic is going to appear if so AWESOME!
I think this game will be great. Just wondering is it using the Hedgehog Engine from the 360 and PS3 versions of Sonic Unleashed, because the graphics and physiques look more like that than the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed’s day stages.
Since when did Sonic have boosts after just destroying enemies. There should be something else that you have to do in order to boost. All of the boost power enables Sega to not be as creative with level design. However this stage looks better than what I’ve seen so far.
Hmmm…. That Metal Sonic Planet is quite intriguing. It looks nothing like the Metal Sonics we’ve seen before…
Possible redesign? Or perhaps, a new model exclusively for “Colours”?
Wouldnt it be cool if the satilite thing in the left corner turned out to be a type of… of i dont know… chao garden??? Lol, it WOULD be cool if it was
Oh and the rocket has Eggman’s face on it!
@Ninjaassasin: I was wondering if it was the Ark.
Me encanto, aunque en ese nivel el avance se ve un tanto frío a pesar de tener una bonita ambientación con esos dulces, me recuerda mucho a Kim Posible para PSP2.
Hmm, it appears that when you die in this game, your score doesn’t reset to zero. Instead, your score resets to the score you had when you passed through the last checkpoint. A welcome change from the other main 3D Sonics, I must say.
Also, did anyone see the Buzzbomber-esque robots at moments 1:27-1:33? Perhaps there will be Badniks in the Wii version in addition to the Egg Pawns…
hmmm… i saw this nearly 24 hours ago at Sonic Stadium Tristan you got to be faster
@Komodin they look more like the Buzzer/Stinger from Sonic 2′s EHZ people always mistake Stinger’s name for Buzzbomber.
Buzzbomber is the blue one in GHZ and several other zone from Sonic 1
Looks great! But still, nothing can beat hedgehog engine.
like in epic mickey
Looks promising….I already love Sweet Mountain zone, looks so tasty.
Anyone notice that the method Eggman is using to hold the extra-terrestial objects is the same as when he held the Little Planet in Sonic CD?!
