DS Cases, Some Out Now, More Soon
Overlooked in the E3 mayhem is news from Mad Catz from earlier in the week that it has begun shipping a series of Sonic branded accessories for the Nintendo DS.
The first wave are Sonic branded “wallets,” which you can use to protect a DS Lite or DSi, as well as games and accessories. Those go for $9.99, and they’re out now. Next month, Mad Catz will release Sonic branded protective “Sockz” in several different, as well as a blue ArmorCase featuring “vacuformed 3D Sonic artfork,” according to Mad Catz’s press release. The former will also run $9.99, while the sturdier ArmorCase will cost $12.99.
We have various pictures of all three accessories in the gallery below.

Sounds cool, but im not gonna spend money on it cuz i dont know if it fits the 3DS
These wallets suck compared to the one I saw at Hot Topic…
Looks like the only Mad Catz thing I’ll be buying this year is the Rock Band 3 special edition with the Keyboard.
By the way, when has Sonic’s spines ever went up like that, I know in the newer games his spines fly up when he jumps, but that angle looks very strange…
Cool. Now we need Super Sonic versions.
@ Edge
He’s jumping or falling backwards. So he’s got a small bit of wind pushing up against his spines. It’s pretty simple to understand.
@Mike Yes but in the context of that wallet it’s looks stupid his spines flailing backwards. Lol
