From time to time, we show you some of the unique and quirky Sonic, Sega, and other gaming fare available on EBay, at all price levels.  More often than not the comments received from those stories indicate the merchandise is not worth the asking price in the eyes of our readers.

With that in mind, let’s pass along word that UK firm First 4 Figures has begun taking pre-orders for both the 15 inch regular and “exclusive” Super Sonic models.  They’ll be released at the beginning of next year, and at a hefty price, too–$139.99 for the regular model, and $159.99 for the exclusive one.  Both have a classic Super Sonic on a Chemical Plant Zone platform, and according to the company, this is the extra value that comes with the latter:

The base comes with lights that light up the transparent sparks by alternating between flashing and continuous lights. The lights slowly fade away after you turn them off.

First 4 Figures has successfully sold a Sonic figure before–in fact, the original 12 inch model going for about $100 sold out in Australia.  Will this series fare just as well?  For that, you’ll have to look at the screenshots, in our gallery below.  Take a look and judge for yourself whether it’s worth the cost and the wait in our comments section.
