Sales Begin in August
Domestic followers of Archie’s Sonic comic will have another pick-up option in a few weeks–their local Toys R Us store.
Archie announced the partnership this week, and made a point to note both Sonic comics currently in circulation, as well as the principal Archie comic, will be given its own rack in each store’s Collectors section.
Issues go on sale beginning in August. While Toys R Us does have a global presence spanning more than 1500 stores, the sales agreement only extends to the chain’s American stores–sorry, international comic readers.

wow
Neat
cool
….but really, breaking that line. Does TRU sell any other comic books? I haven’t been to one for years, but I don’t recall any. This just seems kinda odd to me, but hey.
yuuupiiii weeeeeeee
i remember i got the first few issues of Archies Sonic (#0 – 3) in a pack at Toys R Us YEARS ago. It was probably 16 years ago or so. My dad worked there and he used to let me in the back where all the video games were and I would drool over the back of Sonic & Knuckles. I was only 6 or so. But that could have been through a different company that sold bundled comics or something rather than a direct partnership with Archie.
No Canada? That sucks. =( There’s only one place that I know of that sells these comics, and it’s an hour away from where I live.
Score now I finally have a collection of Sonic comics
Freaking awesome.
@Mykonos: I was just at Toys R Us two days ago, and I don’t remember seeing any comics. Plenty of Beckett-type magazines, though.
