“Final” Version May be on Deck
The developer of once touted SFG Sonic Rebirth says he’s trying to give the full version another go at this year’s Sonic Amateur Games Expo.
“I’m still fixing the game and I hope to have the final version for the SAGE,” leon wrote to members of Sonic Fan Games HQ early Wednesday. The developer had previously sought help from forumers to push bugs out of Rebirth.
The previous “full” version of Sonic Rebirth was a marquee title for the 2009 SAGE, but widespread bugs were reported by players upon its release, forcing a takedown and developer admission that the build was “rushed.” A beta version 1.1 was released for scrutiny in April. If it holds, it will be good to see a bigger, better Rebirth at the online expo. We’ll know for sure if it appears once the expo gets underway in about three and a half weeks.
