WTF, please, somebody kill this comic saga.
Im happy to only follow Sonic at game.
^^ If you don’t like it, don’t read it. Personally, I think this comic has more depth and character than the games ever did.
I wonder if they’re serious about retiring Rotor as a Freedom Fighter? Or if he’s goin to have a change of heart and retire from the senator position?
@Nomad lol maybe because SEGA can’t release a new Sonic game every MONTH? Inevitably the comics have “more depth and character”.
And after all that, they’re still irrelevant to the games, so there’s no need or reason to compare the two. Oooooh.
The comic are great.
If you dont like it dont read them, stop bitching
@Roger: Um… yeah, what everyone else said to you so far. Except for the swear words.
Probably the reason the comics are “irrelevant” to the games (not true, by the way — the comic had bat thieves, feline royalty, and other-dimensional-Robotniks before Rouge, Blaze, or Eggman Nega ever came into being) is because of that contract Penders CLAIMS he signed that stated that “his” characters for the comic would NEVER be used in a video game (which kind of ruins the point of a comic tie-in TO the video games, if you ask me — from a canonical point of view, anyway.)
I agree that the comic storyline is NOT the game storyline, and also that there’s not much point in comparing the two for the sake of my-continuity-is-better-than-yours, but just remember, they’re both authorized by Sega and both feature Sonic and his core group of SEGAsonic friends, so they’re NOT mutually exclusive. (I’m looking at you, visitor1.)
I love the comics. It’s about time Rotor came back to do something about his family.
@Zeh Mad Bloggah: I see your points and they are valid.
But you’d think SEGA would WANT to use the comic characters? They would have done so a long time ago if they wanted regardless whether Penders’ “claims” were valid or not. Even after all the spin-offs and gimmicks SEGA has tried to implement into the games, using the comic characters is something that *wont* ever happen, not so much as that it *cant* ever happen. They have no interest in doing so.
Implementing American-made characters into Japanese franchise = no
Even superficially speaking in a stylistic perspective, the comic characters’ designs don’t fit in with the video game cast
The comic writers WANT the freedom to write/draw/design differently from the games anyway, which further explains the difference in them from the games
@RogerMyers: I’m half in agreement. The comics have SO much depth, but I stopped reading purely because of one character. ONE. I took my own advice ‘If you don’t like her, stop reading them’.
So I did ^.^
My nightmare is that she one day appears in the games….
Just to give a warning, some people already have the full issue, and the spoilers were out two days before the preview pages!
Silver’s face in the 4th image at the bottom effing priceless
“Time to do that hero thang”
oh lawd
@TailstheHedgehog: Is that Sally? That character?
I love Sonic comics too. Maybe some are not so good but others are really awesome.
