Wii and DS Versions Now Available
Yuji Naka and Prope’s latest major release will begin trickling to stores today in North America.
Ivy the Kiwi? has been released through XSEED Games, which picked up the domestic publishing rights from Yuji Naka’s development studio. In Japan, the game was released by Namco Bandai. Europeans still have to wait until Fall.
The price will be right for most; most retailers are selling the Wii edition for $29.99, while DS copies will run $19.99 a piece.
Early reviews for Ivy the Kiwi? have been almost exclusively positive. TSSZ News will offer our review of the game in due course.

It’s good to see a new “animal mascot” game made. I miss those animal mascot platformer games (Sonic is an animal mascot in case you didn’t know) and I am sick of garbage like Kingdom Hearts being made. I haven’t gotten Ivy the Kiwi? yet, but it looks like it might be interesting and hope it turns out to be good.
@Vulpine: I agreed with everything apart from the “Kingdom Hearts” comment, but each to their own.
I cannot wait for Ivy to come out over here! =D
@Kits’Okami
No one cares if you like Kingdom Hearts or not, because that has got to be the worst video game franchise and I don’t know why people think it’s “DA B3ST THING EVAR!! OMG! LOL!”. I hate it so much that I wish it was never made. Honestly, seeing a successful video game franchise (Final Fantasy) crossing over with a familiar face of golden age cartoons (Disney) made my brain hurt (I see them as two different things aimed at different audiences and I don’t get why people think putting them together is a great idea).
Back on topic, it is good to know that reviews for Ivy the Kiwi? have been positive so far. Sure, it may not be Sonic the Hedgehog, but it still has a chance to become a great franchise if things go well.
Reviews for Klonoa the Wii version usually gives it 9 out of 10 or more, but didn’t sell well. But anyway, I’m sure most of the characters scene in Kingdom Hearts are animal-based mascots >.> At least from the Disney side.
