Good News for Comic Followers Abroad
Today Archie Comics announced its offer of international shipping for subscriptions to any of the comics it produces online–including both Sonic franchises.
The “overseas” option is a significant addition to what was once availability of just graphic novels to customers outside the US and Canada. Only a handful of countries appear exempt from international shipment–we don’t see availability for places like Iraq, Vietnam, and the Phillippines, for example. The offer is available through the Archie Comics online shop. Such opportunity comes with a $13 premium charge over the domestic subscriptions.
For Sonic fans worldwide, it’s a good way to keep up with the current series in full. For readers in the UK, it may technically be heralded as the return of an official Sonic comic to individual readers and perhaps comic book stores, should they elect to carry the issues.

I live in the UK, and all I’ve seen is Sonic Universe. But last time I went to the comic store it had the main Sonic the Hedgehog Archie comic
I hope there will be more Sonic merchandise available in places like India or Afghanistan. I can never buy anything on Sonic because he is never there and is not well-known at all. Well, people play some of the games but they don’t love him. I am the only Sonic freak… I like to be different but I feel lonely and left-out. All the other girls like Indian dramas and stuff… I hate that stuff!
I have no Sonic merchandise besides the games which I did not buy from here because the games’ quality sucks. Really, my country is no home for hardcore gamers… Or even the casual gamer.
I like Mario as well and luckily I could find some Mario stuff here, I wanted Mario keychains for my backpack but knew it would be impossible to find cool keychains. So, I have a Wii which I got from USA and inside was a brochure of Nintendo Power, it had Mario on it, so what I did was cut out the Mario, put a whole in it with a needle, put a string through it and tied it to my bag’s zipper. There was also Luigi and Link. It’s hard to get Mario and Sonic stuff… So I make my own stuff.
Sonic’s comics are worst than cancer.
@RogerMyers JR
Some people like it some people don’t;
but what I find worse than cancer,is AIDS!
This is cool. I was reading back issues yesterday and noticed all the letters and art were from the US. It’s nice to have the comics out and about.
Just an amendment to my above post, I’m pretty sure Archie doesn’t ship outside the US because the vast majority of their books are so middle America honkie that they would in no way be relevant. They’re really laughable if you look at it from an outside perspective. Archie biggest problems are that he has girls fighting over him. I’d like to see the international equivalent where Ethiopian Archie has to choose between starving to death himself or letting his child starve to death.
Wait, they never shipped internationally before?
Not the subscriptions.
I bought individual issues, those are available from abroad.
From now on you can subscribe as well.
Whooo Yeah I hope there gonna sell it in The Netherlands too I want so badly a Subscribe on the StH and the sonic universe comics
Yeah, I HATE THE COMICS!!!!
Sweet! Sonic Universe, here I come! =D
I don’t buy them, but it’s good for readers that do =)
I don’t read them because Sonic and other games characters’s personality seems very different from the games.
I’m from Finland, and I’ve been buying Sonic comics for over a year now :’D We have numbers…. 200-214 (Our issues are one month late X’D)
But we don’t have Sonic Universe… that’d be nice to have, since there are some nice arcs sometimes X’D
Kinda happy news for Sonic readers, whee!
