Drill! Laser! Spike!…and some Starlight Carnival Video
As we wrap up our coverage of the 2010 Tokyo Game Show, we want to show you the video that will air in Japan to promote both the Wii and DS release of Sonic Colors.
The spot isn’t quite as crazy as some classic Sonic TV commercials of the 1990s, but emphasis on the Wisp powers is apparent. If that’s not enough, there’s a quick peek at one of the game’s later stages, Starlight Carnival.
Take a look below, and tell us what you think of the spot in our comments section. The Tokyo Game Show may be over, but our coverage of this game is not. We’ll keep track of what you need to know right through the game’s launch in November.

i wonder if thats what Sonic is saying on the gameplay videos when he uses his drill, is he shouting DRILL! Or LASER! for that fact?
lol
I don’t think Sonic says “Drill!” or “Laser!” I think it’s an announcer or something…
Split second, Rocket and Spike CG animations were pretty bad-ass, I really anticipate the opening or ‘intro’ movie.
sweet i wish i have powers like sonic it will be asome and i cant wait for november 16 sonic colors or sonic colorus. well in europe the title is sonic colorus in japan, north america and austrialiea is sonic colors.
@phillip: correction, in Europe its titled Colours not colorus.
I already saw this trailer on another sonic news web site.
Star light carnival (the new zone in the footage) reminds me a lot of Levitated Ruins in sonic and the secret rings, that purple light road in star light carnival is so similar to the yellow light road in Levitated Ruins. and also from the art works it reminds me also of death egg from sonic 3,2 and stardust speed way from Sonic CD and egg fleet from sonic heroes.
its like a mix between :
Death egg from sonic 3 and sonic 2 and stardust speed way from sonic cd and egg fleet from sonic heroes and levitated ruins from secret rings.
SPIN !!! DRILL !!! ROCKET !!!! SPIKE !!!!
Comeon November get her fast ><
i saw this a while ago! (as in on thursday) i shud have sent it in as a news tip. but i still think it’s an awesome commercial and i love the fact that it shows the sound effects too.
I am NOT looking forward to this opening song…
