Archie Sonic Crew’s Plans for New York Comic Con

Murmurs of Flynn Side Project Grow

It’s about time for one of the largest pop culture expos to touch down in New York City.  Much of the Archie Comics team will make the trip to the Big Apple, including many team members from the Sonic side.

Tuesday on the Bumbleking forums, writer Ian Flynn made those plans known.  He, editor Paul Kaminski, artist Patrick Spaziante, and former Sonic HQ staffer Jonathan Gray will be on hand in the Archie booth, number 2309 on the Comic Con show floor.  You’ll be able to meet the team, get some material signed, and there will also be discounted comics on sale.

Of note, however, is another teased item.  Verbally, Flynn has only referred to it as “something else,” and that has fans wondering if Flynn has a side project in tow.  A currently unnamed subforum has been added to the Bumbleking website, and it’s expected to get a name around the time of the NYCC.  Whether it will be Sonic related or not is to be determined, but it looks like it will fall under Archie jurisdiction.

Sega will also be at the show, but their plans have not been revealed yet.  It’s a good time, then, to tell you TSSZ News will be reporting direct from the show floor for the second straight year.  It should be among the last times public exposure is given to new games before the Holiday season, so this ought to be a good one.  Look for exclusive, detailed reports here during the weekend of New York Comic Con.
