Preview with New Info and Screens, Inside
More than three months after dedicating a large portion of its issue to the game, Nintendo Power is back with a second preview of both Wii and DS editions of Sonic Colors.
The best part of the preview is how NP actually released it in full as part of their November issue sneak peek, so it’s below, crystal clear. The writeup affirmed what we told you last week during the Tokyo Game Show: Wi-Fi multiplayer competition will be included for the DS. But it goes further, offering up details on the mechanics of Starlight Carnival, and introducing a new zone: Asteroid Coaster. Sonic will race on planet rings, defy gravity, and avoid toxic traps. Also confirmed are the powers of the Purple wisp, where a transformed Sonic “chomps through anything in its path.”
Nintendo Power also says each planet on the Wii edition will have six acts and a boss, while DS will stick with the two act / boss format and add a Time Attack mode. Wii players, however, can experience Egg Shuttle, allowing you to play every level in order.
Aside from gripes about the story, the staff seemed pleased at what they played. Read the preview the magazine released today below.

wow cool looks like sonic will have a new transforamation.
Green and Purple Wisp abilities were news to me..and reading about ‘em makes me even more excited I have this game on pre-order.
