Hope You have that Translator Handy
Courtesy of French website Gamekult.com, a ton–and we mean a ton–of screenshots from Sonic Colors were released today.
For the sake of organization, we’ll be showing you those shots in three sections, and this one shows off elements of the game’s cutscenes. It appears there will be a lengthy story to follow, and if you recall, Nintendo Power call these scenes on of the game’s weak points. Sonic, Tails, and some interaction with the Wisps are included, and you’ll get some clues to the game’s story, but only if you know French..or have Google Translate handy.
Dozens of additional screenshots were released today, and we’ve divided those up into a specific peek at Starlight Carnival, and everything else. The cutscene screenshots are available below.

Correction, they call the JOKES in some of the cutscenes a weak point. They had no problem with the quality of the cutscenes or the plot.
…of course, humor is subjective, so even the jokes might not be that bad, depending on your taste.
I guess the second to last means “Welcome to the Great space amusement park created by Dr. Eggman”.
I was bored so I took the liberty of running all these through Google Translate. It actually works better than I expected it to:
1) ” OK, it says it is called “chatters” and he comes from a distant soda. ”
(Chatters instead of Yacker. Cute. Also I have no idea what ‘soda’ means…)
2) ” Who are you and what happens to your people there? ”
3) ” No, take me rather a cheeseburger and a milkshake. ”
4) ” Twenty-three … Twenty-four … twenty-five … ”
5) ” Necessary to connect the capacitor to the modulator framistatique optimization ”
(Not a clue about “framistatique”)
6) ” Yihaaaa! Move along, p’tits aliens!”
(p’tits = little, probably. Definitely a broken cowboy voice on Cubot…)
7) ” Has absolutely nothing to do with a diabolical plan or a premeditated act.”
(Likely in the middle of one of Eggman’s PA speeches)

These look pretty awesome. Too bad the screens are so small that they look REALLY pixelated even when I maximized the pictures. I really like how SEGA is using the same animation style from Unleashed.
