Asteroid Coaster, Starlight Carnival, and a Bit of Everything
This morning, for those who prefer to get their Sonic Colors media from sources outside of live playthroughs, we have dozens more screenshots for your review.
They are courtesy of French website Gamekult.com, which posted its verdict on the game yesterday. It’s unfortunately not good news with the lowest score given to date, a 6 out of 10. We’ll explore their rationale in a piece later today on TSSZ News.
In the meantime, you can set that aside and enjoy the incredible screenshot dump performed by the website. There’s a little bit of everything in the set, except for the final stage and, strangely, Aquarium Park. Still, zones from Tropical Resort to Asteroid Coaster are covered, and unless you’ve paid close attention to the live playthroughs or video reviews that have surfaced, a lot of this may be new to you.

Outrageous as it may sound, if 6′s are as low a score as we keep getting, and nothing lower compared to previous titles that got as low as 3 and 4, a recent 3D Sonic game getting as low as 6 might actually be a blessing in disguise.
@The_Soul_Gauge: I have feeling that all we’re about to get are 6′s and 7′s, and to be honest they aren’t enough at all, I really thought Colors is as good as Sonic can be and it’s still getting 6, I mean at this rate we will never have the Sonic game we deserve, even Sonic 4 wasn’t what we expected.
@Sonic&Tails: I may have worded that incorrectly, a tad. What I meant by that was, I hope that’s as low as we get and get a few more higher scores because if 6 is the worst we have to expect compared to the previous titles, and compared to the glowing reviews we’ve seen so far being in the 8′s and 9′s, then (and hopefully I won’t jinx it) this will definitely the best Sonic we’ve had in a long while.
Do you know that Gamekult is the only website that gave Kirby’ epic yarn a 6, all the other reviewers gave the game 8′s, 9′s and even 10′s.
So, we can safely assume that, at least by Gamekult standards. Sonic Colours is just as good as Kriby’s Epic Yarn?

@The_Soul_Gauge: Kirby is great but to me Colors seems better by far, I mean it’s like my dream Sonic game has came true.
What should I do buy Kinect or Wii and Colors?

Check this out, here’s how I see it. I only use reviewers to determine if I will buy the game. I check the reviews of every site (Metacritic, gamerankings) and make up my mind if I want to purchase the game or not. THIS IS NOT THE CASE WITH SONIC. Every Sonic game, reguardless of reviewers, I have to purchase and determine whether the game is good for myself…Sonic Colors WILL be an excellent game for me and a great experience. Why? Because that’s the game I asked for when I was finished with Unleashed (an all daytime stages game). Critics and reviewers don’t determine for me if I like the game, they only point me in the right direction of purchasing it or not, with the exception of Sonic games. I don’t care if the game has “DIFFICULTY SPIKES” that means “CHALLENGE” to me and it lets me know the game isn’t easy. The GameTrailers reviewer didn’t even know what he was talking about (“So now the formula for Sonic games are themed levels and bosses at the end”) as if it’s never been like that…lol it’s always been that way dummy!! And some reviewers flat out don’t like Sonic so they’ll lazily review the game according to how they’ve always been reviewed in the last 7 years. You determine and review something for yourself don’t let websites tell you if you’ll like the game or not.
Sonic Unleashed (SU):
Buy Wii and Sonic Colors!! Kinect is getting bashed by all kinds of reviewers, plus it really doesn’t look good to me. Get a Wii and the first traditional Sonic game in 10 years!

Nintendo DS is more traditional than wii

Sonic 2006 was far worse than Black Knight.
And after you get used to the controls, Black Knight and Secret Rings become fun, unlike Sonic 2006.

wow screenshots look HD like 360 and PS3!! but i noticed the quality looks better in still images than it does during gameplay!! but i love this!!! cant wait 4 tommorow. wont be able to concentrate in skool. Reach for the Stars will be ringin in my head tonite and all day tomorrow!!!!
