99,999,999 Reasons to Watch
One of the less spoken of features of the Sonic Colors Wii edition is the Egg Shuttle. It allows players to take on every stage, in order, without interruption, and then upload the results to online leaderboards. It is, in a sense, Colors for fans of the most discriminating taste: there are no cutscenes, world maps, or other filler getting in the way.
While one of the final end boss sequence touts “unlimited colors,” it turns out there is a limit to the challenge mode, and you’re about to see it.
NeoGAFer Shizzlee hit the breaking point of 99,999,999 points legitimately in Egg Shuttle while navigating through Asteroid Coaster. It’s for naught, however, if the game isn’t complete, and that’s exactly what Shizzlee did, with a time of 79 minutes, 3.99 seconds. The score was ultimately submitted to the leaderboards, where it sits at the top of the pack.
Watch the point of no return and the end result in the two videos below. The bar for a perfect run has been set, and without any cheap tricks at that. Are you up to the task?

BRING IT
Give me a little time…
I’ve never seen so many numbers in a legitmate score…
Well, that’s kinda dumb. Why did Sega make the top score so easy to achieve that someone could do it within a few days of release?
@Wilford111 No, the game is quite difficult to beat without really getting hurt. He’s just been good at other games like Sonic Unleashed. Shizzlee has been doing speed runs and he’s an absolute BEAST
@Wilford111:
While it is sort of obvious for me Colors is best Sonic game in ages, its score system is relatively easy to exploit. For example, you get points just for doing quicksteps or staying in transformed mode, or even for staying in drift. I don’t see sense here, though screw that type of flaw when general gameplay is cool.
That is SERIOUSLY one awesome boss. Holy fuck.
Did he take the day off to do this? Right On!
