Ex-Amy Voice Speaks at USA Convention
To complement some of the other excerpts from SonicCon we’ve showed you earlier this week, we conclude with a two part Q&A panel with Lisa Ortiz.
Ortiz was the voice of Amy Rose for five years, before the recent cast changes. But her resume is far more than that; Ortiz voiced Lina Inverse in all five Slayers series, had a variety of roles in the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchises, and lent her talents to both the Pokémon television series and several of the franchise movies.
In the two part video below, she talks about all of that, as well as more notable allergies she holds against popcorn and oranges. Watch it below. We should note this is not the panel in its complete form.

um… cool? ^_^~
She’s a no talent voice actress. I’m glad that Sega got rid of her.
She was better than the new Minnie Mouse voice ~.~
Lisa had a more fitting voice for Amy. Her new voice actor is TERRIBLE!! I rather have Lisa back than hearing this voice for Amy for years to come.
You know, if she did Amy in her normal voice, it’s 100% bearable.
Ya gotta be kidding me, she had fans?
…..what?
Who in the hell thought she was ANY good, ever?
@ Darkfox, You have no idea what you’re taking about. If you actually bothered to compare the three voice actresses for Amy Rose Lisa Ortiz is clearly the best choice. Cindy Robinson is just awful.
@ Genesis, Amen brother! ^_^
