Combined Units Jump to 18th Overall
A full week of sales did spell better news for Sonic Colors in the UK last week.
The latest Chart Track ranks are out, and each individual edition of the game charted in the top 40. The Wii edition ranked 29th on its own, while the DS edition ranked 35th. Separate, that still isn’t so hot, but it’s better than last week’s launch when neither cracked the top 40 on its own. Together, the games were 18th overall. Aggressive price drops by UK retailers are being cited for the jump.
There is a shred of irony within the numbers–one of the games Colors was directly compared to upon its announcement beat the blue blur for the week. Super Mario Galaxy 2 ranked 28th in the individual formats. And for those wondering, Sonic Free Riders got knocked out of the top 40.
We’ll forward the unofficial number estimates once made available.

Who cares about Sonic Free Riders, go Sonic Colours!!!
(I mean, Sonic Free Riders, is just another supa spin off)
SMG2… well. In case of first not seriously-flawed Sonic game it was expectable.
Go Sonic, go!
Yeah that’s what happens when you put good quality, care, and HYPE THE CRAP out of your game.
Kind of impressive that the Wii version alone sold AROUND as much as Galaxy 2. It may’ve even sold more; Galaxy 2 didn’t really have serious competetion in May, and in fact, the only notable games in that month was Prine of Persia: The Forgotten Sands and Lost Planet 2. Colors faces…Call of Duty and Assassin’s Creed. Enough said.
I totally agree with ‘sorananimeforever’ here, even my teacher bought it and he loves it !
Your teacher is awesome.
